UF Health Senior Care Clinic

UF Health Senior Care/Springhill is a geriatric primary care practice that provides general care and specialty services to meet the unique needs of our patients.  Our physicians are board-certified geriatricians who serve as faculty members at the University of Florida and are expertly trained to provide patients age 65 and over with ongoing primary care, consultations, evaluations and treatments.  Services include but are not limited to: consultative care, specialized care of frail seniors, memory and cognitive testing, medication assessments, polypharmacy.


Malcom Randall VAMC

The Malcom Randall VA Medical Center (VAMC) is one of two VAMCs in the North Florida/South Georgia Veterans Health System. The Malcom Randall VAMC provides a full range of comprehensive health care, including: primary care, specialty care, tertiary care, and long-term care.


Skilled Nursing Facilities

Our physicians operate out of four SNFs: Gainesville Health and Rehab, Oak Hammock, Palm Garden and Parklands Care Center.

Gainesville Health and Rehabilitation

Gainesville Health and Rehabilitation is a 120-bed skilled nursing facility located in Gainesville, Florida. The facility is conveniently located within 5 miles of all hospitals, and offers 24-hour nursing care and a wide array of services and programs that are appropriate for individuals who need around-the-clock care.  From physical, occupational, and speech therapies, to short-term and long-term skilled nursing care services, Gainesville Health and Rehabilitation’s professional staff has one main objective: to encourage each patient to reach his or her goals, and live as comfortably as they would in their own home. As one of Gainesville’s urban facilities, they strive to offer programming that meets the needs and desires of the individuals served by offering varied clinical programming, interfaith spirituality and quality of life programs that cater to the multi-ethnic, multi-cultural populations in this facility.

Oak Hammock

The Health Pavilion at Oak Hammock, which is a continuing care retirement community, provides assisted living, skilled nursing and memory support. This facility is committed to excellence and innovation in long-term care and to providing personalized services with quality, dignity and compassion in a friendly, comfortable, non-institutional environment. The Skilled Nursing Facility features 73 private rooms for those needing short-term rehabilitation services or skilled nursing services over an extended period of time. The Skilled Nursing residences have received a 5-star overall rating by Medicare.

Dr. Henrique Kallas is the Medical Director of this facility.

Palm Garden

Palm Garden of Gainesville is committed to leading in the skilled nursing and rehabilitation arena. They have been in the community for over 25 years and have a reputation for having a warm and friendly staff who provide excellent care and serve up to 150 residents. The clinical team is highly skilled in the treatment of the acute care patient and understands the importance of prevention and preventing complications that often arise during the recovery of a recent illness. The rehabilitation team provides the latest technology and individualized treatment plans to ensure each patient experiences excellent outcomes and a return to their highest level of physical functioning. To better reach residents, they have a staff that is fluent in many languages such as Spanish, Farsi, French, Creole, Patois, and Filipino.

Parklands Care Center

Parklands Care Center is a skilled rehabilitation and nursing facility with deluxe comfort and rehabilitation care. With many predominantly semi-private suites, this comforting and skilled care facility is conveniently located and can accommodate 120 residents. The Health and Rehabilitation Center was designed to give patients and residents access to all the equipment, surroundings and support they need. The easy access to amenities, medical centers and renowned hospitals, and more, make Parklands Care Center the choice of many patients and their families seeking a facility with reassurance, healing and superior care in mind.


UF Health Palliative Care

Under the supervision of Dr. Sheri Kittelson and Palliative Care attending colleagues, the fellow is actively involved in the assessment, management and follow-up of inpatient consultation patients, including psychosocial support of patients and families, as part of the interdisciplinary team. The palliative care attending(s) supervise(s) the geriatrics fellow’s interactions with patients and palliative care members, including presentations of clinical findings, decision-making and documentation.  Palliative attending(s) and team evaluate the geriatrics fellow, and the geriatrics fellow evaluates the palliative care experience.

UF Health Urology

UF Health Urology is a top-ranked urology program in Florida and nationally by US News & World Reports.  UF Health Urology offers a comprehensive set of solutions for patients, ranging from traditional to state-of-the-art and excellent post-surgical care.  Urology is a surgical subspecialty that manages the diseases of the urinary tract. Management can be either surgical or medical or both.  The urinary tract consists of the kidneys and the adjacent adrenal glands, ureters, bladder, male prostate, urethra and male testicles.  Disease entities include infections, inflammation, cancer, and acquired or congenital defects that affect these organs.  In particular this includes urinary and prostate infections, kidney stone disease, erectile dysfunction, cancer of the prostate, bladder, kidney and testes, infertility, benign prostate hypertrophy, and incontinence.

UF Health Movement Disorders

UF Health Center for Movement Disorders and Neurorestoration offers the highest level of integrated, interdisciplinary care for patients with movements and neuropsychiatric disorders. Consolidated in one centralized location, the staff coordinates a myriad of advanced medical and surgical services to deliver motor, cognitive and behavioral diagnosis and treatments.  These services are provided by University of Florida faculty and researchers from over 35 different specialty and subspecialty areas, recognized for their ground-breaking work in movement disorders.  The expertise of these specialists has made UF Health Center for Movement Disorders and Neuro-restoration an international destination for patient care, research and teaching in the field of movement disorders. The Center is home to nationally recognized Centers of Excellence, including the National Parkinson Foundation Center of Excellence, Tyler’s Hope Center for a Dystonia Cure, Bachmann-Strauss Dystonia and Parkinson’s Disease Center of Excellence, and the National Tourette Syndrome Association Center of Excellence. The NIH-designated headquarters of the nationwide Clinical Research Consortium for Spinocerebellar Ataxias is also based at the Center.

UF Health Cardiology

Physicians who practice in UF Health facilities are leading the fight against heart disease with state-of-the-art diagnosis and advanced surgical and non-surgical techniques.  These physicians and surgeons are nationally recognized leaders in cardiovascular medicine and thoracic and cardiovascular surgery.

UF Health Hematology-Oncology

Hematology is a subspecialty of medicine concerned with the study of blood, the blood-forming organs, and blood diseases and includes the study of etiology, diagnosis, treatment, prognosis, and prevention of blood diseases. Oncology is the subspecialty that deals with cancer. The Division of Hematology and Oncology at the University of Florida is dedicated to the mitigation of suffering and death due to cancer and blood disorders through laboratory and clinical research-based patient care and education.
